Recycle IT undertake:
To service the waste electrical and electronic equipment collections and drop off in a proper and efficient manner, subject to the following conditions contained in these Terms of Service:
To comply with all special site conditions and safe working procedures in accordance with relevant Health and Safety Legislation applicable in Ireland
To offer free and fee-based services
To reserve the right to introduce or increase existing charges at any time with one month's notice in writing on our website or communicated directly to customers.
The Customer undertakes:
That electrical waste is properly described
That electrical waste is free from other types of waste such as foods waste, chemical waste, or human waste etc. (empty and clean)
That clear and concise directions to the collection location are provided including a location contact and communication method.
Customers requesting data destruction and IT equipment breakdown must be available to sign, or delegate sign off for the quantity of items received by Recycle IT at time of drop off or collection.
Free and Fee Service
There is no fee payable for our community collection service, school collections, charity collection, community group collections and resident’s association collection.
Cost related to personal or business collections or drop off service must be paid prior to service delivery. The customer agrees to pay Recycle IT the charges agreed in advance.
Customers with ongoing waste collection or drop off can request an account with Recycle IT
Health and Safety
The customer shall provide a suitable and safe means of vehicular access for the servicing of the waste collections.
The customer shall ensure its safe for all persons (including the employees and agents of the contractor), entering within the curtilage of the customer's home or premises.
All items for collection shall be easily accessible, disconnected, and ready for collection.
Recycle IT shall collect from a ground floor location or alternative floors with full lift access.
Recycle IT shall not be responsible for any property (including personal effects), deposited by the customer or any other persons in the waste or the equipment and shall not be bound to return the same, nor be liable for any loss or damage.
Recycle IT shall not collect items which are covered or bagged unless the customer is present.
The customer shall not enter the “Recycle IT” waste facility. Customers must ring the bell for service.
Servicing of Waste and Reporting Missed Collections
Waste electrical equipment should be stored safely and be reasonable accessible to collection teams.
Recycle IT will endeavour to service the waste as requested, unless delayed or prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Missed collections should be reported.
Any missed collection will be re-scheduled as soon as possible at no additional cost to the customer.
Suspected missed collections should be reported to our Customer Services team on 01 4578321, within one day of collection date. (Lines are active between 9am and 4pm daily).
Contaminated electrical equipment offered for recycling will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of the customer to sort/clean the contents and remove contamination.
Customers are advised that Recycle IT don’t operate on Bank Holidays or Weekends.
Responsibility for Equipment
Any equipment provided to the customer shall, always, remain the property of Recycle IT, but the customer shall ensure that it is appropriately sited and is properly treated.
The customer shall not damage nor place any marking on equipment provided free or hired by Recycle IT.

Application of Terms
By making an order to Recycle IT to have waste electrical, electronic, or metal recycled by collection or dropped off, customers agree to accept the Terms of Service and determine if there is a payment due.
The Terms of Service were published on May 14th, 2018.
The Term of Service were updated on July 4th, 2023.
The Terms of Service apply immediately to all customers.
Note: It is free for householders and small office recyclers to drop off dual purpose home and small office electrical and electronic equipment at Recycle IT.
