Clondalkin Community Recycling Initiative has committed to innovative use/reuse of appliance parts. In April 2007 we reused appliance drums as flower planters for our own use. The feedback from visitors was so encouraging that we have decided to market them. Since then we have supplied drums for both domestic and commercial use.
Can you guess what the following are made from? (Check end to see if you are right)
The lamp was made from pulley wheels off washing machines (spacers made from a discarded crutch) and a washing machine drum.
The business card holder was made using the glass door from a washing machine and some small pulley wheels.
